Indecisive Link

Here's a little lighting contrast experiment I did. Most of the shading was added with black watercolor pencil. Zelda and Shadow Link have no faces because my lead wasn't thin enough to fit them, but...hey, it works, since they're just a figment of Link's imagination! Heh...these must be the times when Mr. Hero realizes that Navi makes decision making a lot simpler.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, all you HyruleArt followers! Sorry, it's been a while since I've posted because of the usual Christmas hassle--relatives, gift preparing, etc.--but here's a little song by Yours Truly that I hope you'll enjoy.
Here goes:

Ocarina Jingle Bells
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
On Epona this Hyrule day
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle to my song
All of you with ocarinas
Can play along!

Dashing thru Hyrule Field,
With my fairy by my side;
Peahats are chasing us
I hope that we don't die!
Epona's losing carrots,
She really needs a rest
And as for getting away
I guess we did our best--
BLEH!

Game over, game over
Ganon's wish come true
Hyrule's taken over and
Zelda's feeling blue--
HEY!
What's that now?
Start over?
I get a second chance!
Get ready, Ganondorf,
For me to whip your pants!
TCHEKK!

So, there it was! I had a ton o' fun writing that one with my sister. The "TCHEKK!" at the end (for those who haven't played Ocarina of Time) represents the sound Link makes when he swings his sword at something. Also, "peahats" are the name of a certain type of enemy in Ocarina, Epona is the trusty steed ridden by Link on his adventure, Zelda is the princess, and Ganon/Ganondorf (obviously) is the bad guy who gets his pants whipped.

Pit with Bow and Arrow

Here's my version of Pit from Kid Icarus. Apparently, I need to work on adding highlights to hair... ^_^;

Link with Scarf

An experiment I did with Link from The Legend of Zelda. The sword design was inspired by the classic Zelda Master Sword, and the cool sheath strap thing (I forget what it's called) came from looking at tapestry paintings in my mom's art book.
